The Roodt Family

Well known television personality and chief economist of The Efficient Group, Dawie Roodt was stabbed after a robbery on an estate in Pretoria.

Roodt, his wife, their twin toddlers as well as his grown-up daughter were tied up in the study and held at gunpoint while the criminals ransacked the house for valuables.

During the armed robbery there was a power failure at which point Roodt was stabbed and cut multiple times by one of the robbers.

We can not be sure – but this may have been one of the reason why the Roodt family decided to get a new dog.
